After fishing on Lake Michigan for over 35 years, and catching tons of Salmon, there still is no greater thrill than having a family group with young people on board.  The thrill of the catch is coupled with training and education and in knowing that the future for these young adults is enhanced by the family influence and the sport of fishing.  Countless times I have watched the youngsters on board "catch the largest fresh water fish of their life", and I trust with positive memories which will last a lifetime.  For Captain Bob and Admiral Sara, this is certainly the case.

I have dedicated a special section of this web site to the "kids" and their catches, and you can open the "kids gallery" by clicking on that icon.  Look closely at some of the pictures and you'll see the growth of those who have fished on The Snow Goose for a number of years.

When I was younger, I wrote for a magazine, and one of my articles was titled, " Take your Dad fishing".  That still holdls true today, so plan a trip with your family and enjoy the pleasures of Lake Michigan with a day on the lake together.  Guess my original article should have been " Take your Family Fishing".

Only once did I have a youngster aboard who didn't seem to enjoy the fish.  Maybe he was just a little too young for a Chinook.
